Raita is a perfect-yogurt based cooling side dish for the spicy rice dishes, such as pulao, biryani or Indian bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Curd
  • ½ cup Onion (finely chopped)
  • few Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 Green Chili (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup Cucumber (finely chopped)
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  • Chop all the veggies finely for making raita.
  • Take curd in a bowl and whisk to a smooth consistency.
  • Add onion, tomato, green chili, cucumber, salt & mix well.
  • Serve Raita as a side dish for any flavored rice /Biryani/Pulao.
  • Enjoy the Cool Raita!

Notes

  • Skip adding green chili if making for kids, replace with white pepper powder/red chili powder for spiciness.
  • Add half spoon of cumin/jeera powder for extra flavor.
